My experience with Nusku Arts – Strike a Chord as an After School Enrichment Programs coordinator has been wonderful. I have worked with this school for the last 3 years and they are a delight to work with. They are very responsive, organized, responsible, have great instructors and are always willing to accommodate our school’s needs. They bring their flyers on time and communicate well with parents and students. Their program has worked great for our kids at Olive.

Strike-a-Chord’s guitar class was a big hit with the students in the class here at Ecole Bilingue. Many of the students re-enrolled multiple times and by the end of the year there was an obvious progression and development in the students!
Mirza K, Director Extended Day Program Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley
Strike A Chord are rather unique in managing to teach second thru fifth graders to play guitar together in a mixed group. Their program is very reasonably priced compared to private or small group lessons, they even provide guitars to students for use during the session, and our working parents appreciate the access and convenience of onsite classes offered at our school campus weekly after school. The director at Strike A Chord worked with us to find the right teacher to fit our students: it was wonderful instructor, and he has definitely built enrollment up over the past two years. The children enjoy the class and learning contemporary music, get to perform at a recital for friends and family at the end, and many are inspired to continue on from session to session, further developing their skills.
Cheryl S, After School Coordinator Montclair Elementary, Oakland
I like having Chris as a teacher because he is funny while helping us learn to play guitar. I like how he asks us which songs we want to learn to play.
Satchel , age 10 Montclair Elementary
Chris teaches us a lot of songs and he is nice and friendly with everyone.
Talula, age 7 Montclair Elementary
I don’t know how Chris does it, but both my kids, who are at different levels, are both learning to play the guitar without frustration and they are enjoying every class! Amazing. He is a patient and inspiring teacher.
Jennifer, Parent Montclair Elementary
Our instructor is awesome. 2 weeks ago there was a little disagreement between 2 students and he handled it very well. He talked to both of them and took one of the children out of the room to explain why it was not okay to act the way he was. I was extremely impressed with his ability to handle the situation. I have worked with instructors for years and he was very professional. Okay I know I have said impressed a million times but he did really great. Thank you for all of your hard work and your concern for how your teachers are doing.
Shannon, Coordinator Larkspur District
My son enjoyed the class. He had a little trouble waiting for the instruction to progress. He loves music and will continue to play the guitar. He says, “It was fun and I learned a lot!” As a coordinator, I felt that Nusku Arts listened to our class management concerns and they were very flexible with our needs at San Ramon
