The Nusku Arts classes are formatted for beginning and intermediate students. Every song taught have easy and difficult parts for students to play, depending on their level. In addition, the class is often broken up into small groups based on skill level, allowing students to move at their own pace.

I missed the first session, is it okay to join the class for the winter session, and if so, how will my child catch up with the group?

Your child may join the class at any new sessions beginning. Older kids can often catch up if they put in the necessary practice time. Younger kids may have a harder time, and if need be, we can send an assistant to the class to help the newer students get caught up.

What do open classes or camp mean?

Open classes or camp are available outside a school in a specific area - Usually it is classes or camp located in a community center within a city Parks & Recreation Department.

Can i have more details about the Comic Book class?

The classes are geared towards a collaborative comic book based of a comic book story the students choose. Story templates are provided with dialogues but no drawings and a scripted story for each panel. The kids in teams work to pencil and then ink characters to fit the story.
During the process of creating these books, students get a glimpse about the different process and jobs (writers, letterers, pencilers, inkers, colorists) of comic book artists, drawing techniques with pencils, and inking techniques. Students learn from handouts and demos the teacher does in class. Every teacher brings his/her own perspective, training, and interests to the classroom.
The final project is compiled and we make copies for the students to take home usually the week after the session end unless it’s finished sooner. A PDF is available online for parents to download.

REGISTRATION and PAYMENTS

My child is a returning student, do i have to go through the process to register in a class?

If it is the beginning of the school year (Fall session) Yes, we only keep Family information for one school year. If it is during the school year (Winter session, Spring Session, Summer) No. You just have to log in HERE and choose your child's class.

You just have to log in HERE then in your dashboard go to the "Billing Info" tab and make the changes accordingly.

I did register my child in a class, do i get charged if the class does not go?

When parents register their child in a class, the class fee is posted to their account (but the Credit Card is not charged).
When the class has reached the minimum of students (Usually 8 students), the credit card is charged within one week prior the class starts

I want to register my child in a class but the session has already started

We are flexible in term of registration, you can join a class while it has already started, we will then prorate your tuition fee for the class missed. (Note that your school might ask you to pay a late fee)

The class is full, and i register in a waiting list, is my card charged?

When the class is full, parents have the ability to register in a waiting list. No fee is posted and no charge occurs.
If the student is transferred to an active class, the class fee is posted and a charge is initiated .

My child is in a waiting list, now what?

When your child is in a waiting list, we will notice you by email if they are new openings in the same class (a student dropped out for instance), we will also email you about open classes available in your area, and we will keep your information to contact you later during the session, to let you know about new classes in your school, or in your area (next session openings)
We also strongly suggest you make arrangements for other activities for your child as there are no guarantee that you will get a spot in the existing class.
